How Much Did You Pay For Your Tank?

Just wondering, because I have been looking for someone to build my semi-custom tank... It's only 48"x48"x30"deep Quarter cylinder corner tank. approx 240 gallons. I must have sent requests to every fish tank website out there, and I got quotes from $1650 up to $6000!:debi: And found out that there are actually only a handful of tank manufacturers, the rest sub out there work to them.
Anyways, I went with Innovative Plastics Inc. c/o Aqua design group. They actually manufacture the tanks from scratch, and very low priced. I feel good about my selection...:thumbsup:
Just wondering some of your guys experiences in purchasing these large reef tanks?

Pricing depends a lot on the material used, thickness, bracing, holes, cuts, etc..
There are a few Acrylic tank manufactures out there and some use low grade acrylic to give a better price, but at the end you really do get what you pay for. I paid $1300 for a 240 gallon custom tank (1" thick euro bracing, 1" thick front back and bottom panels, 3/4" thick sides, 3/4" thick overflow w/ cover, Two 1" returns, One 2" drain, and used the higher end Acrylic on the tank body, and lower acrylic grade for the overflow).
