How much do RBTAs move around?

mine has moved 0 inches in the last 7 months since i got it it took a day to get its foot settled in a rock and when i want to move it i just move the rock as long as the conditions are right they wont move.

mine stayed put for a few months then decided to find a better home. He is now settled and not moving. Make sure when you place it in your tank it has a rock with crevices and is able to retract under an overhang or into the rock.

If ur sps isnt glued to the rocks and they mounted on smaller peices then u can always move some out of a section and put it on the sand/bottom out of the way, then put the anemone in that area and it shouldnt* wander too far from where u place as long as its got the right conditions (like stated above, crevices and good light coverage). then relocate the sps colonies to a more suitable location.

I think you have to count on them moving. If not now, next month. If not next month, next year. Once they find a spot they like, they are more likely to stay put for awhile, but I don't think you can count on that in the long term.

I think it's all just a question of priorities. If you're willing to risk your corals (or make sure they're never too attached to anything to keep you from moving them out of the way) because you love the nem, it may be worth the risk. You can lower the risk by creating a bommie for them (an island of rock isolated on the sand from other rocks and glass) to limit their walking options, but they can still detach and float in the current if sufficiently motivated to find another spot.
