How much flow for a 55gal?

Setting up a 55gal with a 29gal sump. Long run plan is soft corals and fish.

Plans are either a Mag 7 or a QuietOne 4000 for the sump pump, with about a 6' head. Already have a QuietFlow 600 GPH overflow.

How much more water flow do I need?

For a closed loop system, I'd like to use some of the filters I currently have laying around.

I have two Marineland Magnum 250 HOB filters that advertise a flow rate of 250 GPH. If I ran these, it would be with some live rock rubble in them. I like this idea, because I would have 2 outlets, to point where needed.

The other choice is a Fluval 404 canister, which has an advertised flow of 340 GPH. With this one, I can buy a spray bar attachment, which might be better than the 2 outlets of the Magnums.

Do I need any of these? Which would be better? Do I need all 3?

Thanx

aim for 30 times turnover or so

30 times the 55gal ( 1650 gph ) or of total water capacity ( including sump )?

Man, thats a lot of flow. If I use the quietone 4000, and all 3 filters as a closed loop, I'd only be at 1440 gph.
