how much flow for a dendro

alcove

In Memoriam
im switching direction from sps to nps in a new system and my denro is not really extending well ive been feeding but im not sure if its the flow or something ive got an mp20 on a 24x12x14 so i can adjust flow however i need to.

low flow for sure ,and they extend the best that way . they can get hurt in high flow areas but definatly can survive moderate flow areas .

how about your water paramiters ? my dendros look best just before i clean my tank as then the water id dirtiest and has more nutrient . they do like dirtier water or at least something to eat daily . i see that you have been feeding them ,what are ypu feeding them and when ?

when they are open(ish) feeding reef plankton, they actually quit opening after i did a 30% WC i use H2OCEAN salt, params are good SG 1.024-25 temp 76-77 via RKL, it is a new system :/

Do you know what your Calcium,Mg & DKH is?
When/if they open try a piece of Mysis shrimp.
Basically once they start opening they will remain open night & day.
Occasionally mine will retract for a short period, but always open right back up.

I moved mine, but in these pics they may have been in a little to much flow, but still opened

Got any pics?
