How much flow in a 30 gallon shallow cube for H. Crispa?

I know H. Crispa prefers medium indirect flow but I want to know if more is acceptable. I would really like to have over a 1000 gph but do you guys think that might be too excessive?

Depends on aqauscaping. Mine get hit by alternating Tunze 6100s, but they somewhat shoot overtop. My crispa don't seem to mind getting lifted on occassion, but they do have those verrucae under the oral disk for a reason, cut flow back or redirect if they can't use them to lay flat most of the time.

I agree. They seem to be able to tolerate quite a bit as long as it is intermittent.

Good point about the aquascaping. I am looking to put about 35 lbs of liverock in the display. I guess I am going to have to add the Crispa first before where I decide to aim my PH and return at.

The verrucae are under the oral disk to stick to the substrate right?
