how much is to much for a 55?

I feel like i need more flow! would one of the tunze's be too much flow for my 55 gal reef tank? I currently have a maxi jet thats like 220 or 250gph somethin like that, and a powersweep. :strooper:

my return is 780gph, seio 820 is 820gph, and small aquaclear at 270 gph and i don't think that's enough, but it's plenty. i would say throw a seio 820 in there!

My 54g in progress is set up for 1500gph. This is for mixed reef, and I don't feel that I am going to have too much flow. I think 30x is the high end though.

I have 3 Maxijet 1200's and a Seio 820 for a total flow of about 1700 gph and I don't think that is too much. It depends alot on the amount of obstructions that you have to flow. If the tank is perfectly open, one amount of flow might work where with alot of rock and such to disperse the flow, it might take alot more flow. I am sold on the Seio's for the money and the high volume they move.
