How much light do I need.?

My tank is going mixed with zoa's ,acan's and 1 M.doreensis anemone. The tank is 24in deep with a DSB [so maybe 17in to the DSB] and I currently have 250x2mh lights.

I like my zoa's near the bottom but closer to midway up on the rocks.
So can I lower my heat and electricity use by going with 150w MH and still keep the zoa's happy. PS im not needing max growth, just some growth and general health.?

Have you concerned dual 175 watts, cut your photoperiod and use actinic supplementaion?

150s would be just fine. I just changed from 2 250s to AIs back to 2 250s, and now to 2 150s and the 150s are surprising me. I still have to raise my light higher than I would like but the zoas are much happier under the 150s than anything else so far. My tank is also 24" deep.

i had a 24" deep tank with 1 single 150w halide and 4 39w T5's.. everything in my tank was happy as could be.

you should be perfectly fine with 150w
