How much light do you give your Millie?

I purchased a peach colored Millie about a week ago. It was Ã"šÃ‚¾ of the way up on a 55g under 150w 10kde bulbs. I started it about Ã"šÃ‚½ up my 280(24ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ tall) then moved it about Ã"šÃ‚¾ the way up. I use250w 12k SE reeflux and the coral is pretty much right under the bulb. I can swear this coral looks less colorful in the 2 days since Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve moved it but there is no bleaching. Intuitively I would think the par from a 12k bulb would not be too much and all other sps all looking great! How much light are you giving your Millie?

i picked up a large frag of reddish brown milli, and when it was fragged from the mother colony, my frag broke into 3 pieces - so i performed an experiment...

the largest piece was placed right over 1/2 way up (75 gallon) in decent flow and lighting (t5). this piece has encrusted the base and has put on about 3/8" growth on the largest tips within the last month and a half.

the medium sized piece was put on the bottom in nice random turbulent flow. this piece has encrusted the base nicely and is just now starting to branch out.

the smallest piece was put on top with strong indirect water movement, and i have lost some color, or it's turning a lighter green color with minimal growth.

not exactly a direct comparison to what you've got, but figured it might help some...
