How much PhosBan for a 70 gallon reef?

I read on the container 50 grams for 50 gallons but up to 5 times the recommended dosage will not hurt. I put about 75 grams in and wondering if I can use all 150 grams. Any reason not to use all 150 grams or should I use the recommended dosage. Maybe none at all?

I am using a converted RO filter for a two stage Phosban - carbon filter.

It's the expense involved....I use 100 grams for my 95.

I would go with the recomended dose, unless you have a phosphate problem and they are off the charts and feeding algae or somthing. Stuff is not cheap.

Use 1/2 the recommended dose to start... I wouldn't recommend going beyond the recommend dosage if you haven't been running it. GFO is VERY effective at what it does, and can strip your water very fast potentially causing problems.

I am not having any problems, just preventative maintenance.

I used 2 times the dosage so I guess I should remove some.

Can I save what I remove by storing it wet or should I let it dry out? Or is it not savable?
