How much salt mix do you inventory?

When prices for 200g boxes of Reef Crystals goes below $45, I usually buy 2-3 of them. PetSolutions had them for $37 shipped via Amazon last July, and I think I wound up getting 4 of them since that's all they had in stock. PetSolutions actually has the 200g boxes for $44.99 shipped with coupon code CYBER14 right now.

And, just a minor correction, the 200g boxes are nearly always cheaper per gallon than the buckets. If you need buckets, they're under $3/each at Home Depot and you still come out ahead in the cash department.

I think I got 8- 200 gallon boxes the last time.

I buy 4 200 gallon boxes of IO twice a year when local store runs there special buy three get one free.

Thanks for the answers guys!! Seems like if you have the room to spare and are able to store extra salt mix, you're better off buying in bulk when there are sales. I figured much, but wasn't sure if there was a major con against that....

I just buy a box as needed (which is a lot for a 30g system). Place I get it sells it almost at cost, so sales aren't really a factor.

Just so everyone knows if you go through a box of salt a month you can have dr. Fosters auto ship a case every month and the 10th is free. Pretty sure they still do this.
