HOW MUCH SAND TO ADD (260g 84X24X30)

hey fellas i would like to know how much sand to add to my tank 260g 84X24X30.
i know there is a sand calc on this site but i am unsure how many inches deep do i do the sand??? how many inches do you guys with big tanks have??? and what are the recommendations???

It's personal preference as much as anything...

I like to have between 1.5 and 2 inches in my tanks... adequate for sand sifters, sand-hiding wrasses, etc.

I have a deep sand bed in a sump for filtration purposes, but don't care for that look in my DT.

hey Lightsluvr nice display. i was thinking 4" at first but dont really like the look of deep sand in my display 3" would probably be my choice maybe even 2 1/2"

can anybody else chime in and let me know what you guys have with success

NONE...go bare bottom. Its the way to go....no nitrates.
