How much should I be feeding my peppermint shrimp?

Well I was having trouble target feeding this guy. I took some zooplakton, seawater and some additives and made some small cubes by freezing them, which I broke up into small chunks. I couldn't find a straw to feed him so I have been just hand feeding him, he has no problem coming up to my hand to take the food and these are small chunks maybe 5mm big or so, he inhales it pretty quickly then scavenges the tank for the rest, maybe 20-30seconds of feed time.

This is enough food for him right? My tank isn't well established yet so I doubt he can be finding that much to eat but maybe he is. He ate a lot of glass anemones the first week I had him and now I'm feeding him. Right now he is the only thing in the tank (Besides LR). He has gotten quite fat, looks healthy and colorful.

Does this sound okay to do once a day, maybe twice a day? I plan on buying mysis soon.

I'm thinking every other day would be plenty. I've never target fed my shrimp, they usually clean up after everything else.

I found on wwm that if you have a reef, they don't need to be fed at all or just on occasion because they eat the scraps leftover from feeding the corals, makes sense. Since my tank is pretty much bare right now he recommended 4-5 times weekly.

I feed mine once every day or two with a bit single piece of Formula 1 or Formula 2. I don't have any fish, so they don't get any leftovers there, the corals mostly get phytoplankton. It seems to be doing fine.
