how much weight will concreat hold?

I guess before i even start to build my new tank i should make sure the foundation will hold it.The tank i want to build will be about 204 lbs pre sq foot. This is the complete setup, tank stand rock sand, everything. I am going to try and find out how deep my foundation is tomorrow

is it on a slab?
usually slabs poured for homes are 3000 psi concrete

I am no engineer, but I did have an engineer look at my system. I have a new 420 gallon system with a foot print of 8' x 3' (probably more than 205 lbs per square foot) with no issues on the slab. I would THINK you should be fine.

Concrete is not crushable by any force you're likely to exert on it with an aquarium. If you are sitting on a slab-type foundation you'll be just fine. Now if the concrete is resting on a supporting frame and not a slab foundation (i.e. not fully supported by a compacted earth base) then this may not be the case.
