How often do you change your PC bulbs?

How often are you suposed to change your PC bulbs. Mine are about 11 months old now and I am starting to notice the tank is getting really hot. Is this because i havent changed my bulbs?

post people reccomend once a year for PC. That's what I do.

I read it should be every 8 - 11 months. I'm planning to change mine after 10 months.

I guess it all would really depend on how much you are running them.

I change at 6 months ever since I found them for 10 bucks. There is amazing intensity difference even at that short of an interval. Don't say it's because I'm using cheaper bulbs because my 6 month bulbs are brighter than a new coralvue that is 30 bucks.

I was wondering when to change mine too. My first bulbs were Coralifes and they seem to shift to the red spectrum after about 2 months. I decided to change them this week after only 6 months of use because my brain coral was shrinking. After changing the lights it seems to be recovering. I hope these discounted replacement bulbs I bought at Hellolights fair better than the Coralife bulbs. Hellolights had a big sale in July that I assume will happen again. Does anyone have experience with these bulbs, or have a recommendation on what brand you think is the best and were to get them?
