How Often Do You Feed Your Anthias

I do not run gfo, but do have a nice H&S skimmer and filter sock. Phos readings 2 days ago were .14 on Hanna Checker. Should I be running GFO? NO3 zero

GFO in a reactor should take care of your PO4 problem - if you are already skimming and running filter socks. I started my tank in January with dry rock that I had been curing for about 10 weeks to remove phosphates and then I started running GAC and GFO from the beginning and i have very little algae. I did have some diatoms in the beginning but that didn't last very long and now I only have some light brown algae on the back wall that needs to be cleaned every couple of weeks. I have to clean a light film off of the front and side glass maybe once or twice per week. Here is a picture to see how clean my tank is...

Here is what my skimmer looks like...

I feed 2-3 times per day and I currently have 5 fish and am going to QT 2 more next week. Good luck!

What do you keep your po4 at? I believe the root of my problem was broadcast feeding reef chile. I have been feeding 2x a day successfully for a few weeks now. Lysis pellets and brine.

PO4 is 0.0 - 0.04 (I was at zero and decided to let it creap up a bit but I try to keep it close to 0.0.)

NO3 is 0.2.

I am now feeding reef chili or oyster feast or Rodi Feast 2-3 times per week because my fish load is not very high yet and my corals were looking a bit pale. They are starting to look better. I also dose Pohls Xtra daily.

6 Dispar, 2 Evansi & 3 Purple Queen - AutoFeeder with a mixture of pellets and Cyclopeeze 5x a day. And then I add frozen cubes or Reef Nutrition foods 1x a day.

Haha yeah I know right...I just wish there was some sort of frozen food dispenser out there...with my work schedule I can really only feed my fish once a day. Okay well...I can do it twice...but it would only be like a 2 hour wait time...from like 10 pm to 12. I work 2nd shift...plus I'm in the military and thats a lot of pressure asking my busy gf to feed the fish twice like that...I sure do love the fat head sunburst anthia tho

I keep a number of different anthias (pseudoanthias actually) and in order to keep a healthy body weight on them i feed 3-4 times a day. I work mostly from a home office which makes this possible. I don't think they'd survive on a single or even dual feedings.

There's a thread out here somewhere that uses a tiny fridge and you put your thawed food in bottles and use peristaltic pumps or dos pumps to push thawed food out into the tank.

Good thing I'm a conservative and responsible reefer that thinks before he makes decesions...saved some fishes lives by not being stupid and making the right decesions....research is king!
