Feed your BTA? Im trying to figure out how often i should feed it. It seems to stretch out when the lights go out and Im wondering if I should feed it a piece of silverside every day?

While I no longer have any BTAs....

Back when I had them, I would feed them maybe twice a month, right before I sold my last one it was at least 15" across.

How long have you had yours, what size tank, and what lights do you have?

I have a 150 watt metal halide. 1 green BTA thats about 3 inches. Pretty small compared to the ones Ive seen but it has nice bubble tips, and is not bleacjed. I have it in my 20 long. Ive had it for about 2 weeks and I have been feeding it every 2 days right now and it takes it.

I feed mine twice a week small meals.

i feed small chunks that i get out of defrosted Rods food.

I feed mine a couple times a week, if I remember. They've gone as long as a month, couldn't tell if they were starved or not, still looked good. I've also fed them consecutive days before, but rarely. Mine look better if I go longer time inbetween feedings.

I thought since it was new I should try to feed it as much as possible. I will cut back to once a month and see how it goes. The light is strong so that should help. Thanks guys!
