How often to run GFO

How often do you think GFO should be run through a reactor? One week a month? Always? If you don't run it non stop, do you replace the GFO every time you turn the pump back on?

I run mine constantly. The time to replace depends on the tank and how much you are using. It lasts way longer than carbon.

+1 on running GFO 24/7
I used to run it 6h/day and noticed it didn't make a dent in PO4 readings so I took it off the timer and plugged it directly into the outlet.
I use Tropic Marin Elimi-phos and 1lb usually lasts over 6 months.

I was thinking my phosphate was maybe too low from running it 24/7. It tests 0 on API test kit(don't know how accurate that is). I don't dose vodka or the like and I don't have a refugium, so maybe 24/7 GFO is ok for me. I don't know

Im running GFO 24/7 in a bag. I would love to do a reactor, but i need to find a way to incorporate one inside of my sump (small sump).

Do you have room to hang the reactor off your sump? That is how I have mine for my 33 (( 10 gallon sump )). Just needed enough room for an MJ400 to feed the reactors (( I have one for Phosban and one for carbon, daisy chained together. ))

I suggest you run it 24/7 and change it once phosphates are redetected; or once every two months.
