It took them a good year to start growing.
Now they grow pretty fast for rics.
These ones get about 3 to 4 inches and been about
That size since I got them
i have a yuma that i got 3 years ago that was the size of a dime now its about 5" around and only makes babies when it moves so i just have to turn the rock its on and it slithers around haha making babies
I had some rhodactus morphs do some odd things after about twelve years and wondered if it had something to do with age or size? The morph's had grown enormous about 6 inches around.
What happened to each of them over a period of time was the center broke apart just leaving a few remnants of the foot etc over the rocks here and there. not like and infection with wasting tissue rather just fell away.
Basically tank seemed fine everything else behaved normally and looked good water quality tested fine. Made me wonder if that's what happens to old coral morphs?
10 year old red/orange yuma.11 year old grey florida.i have had many babies from them all i cant even remember how many but my yuma is 8 inches or more just doesnt stop growing never see it eat food just falls of him.
I have some green floridas that are about 10-11yrs old and a orange/purple/green yuma that is about 9-10yrs old. The yuma has dropped about 10 babies over the years as it has moved, I've never fragged it intentionally. I've given away or sold almost all descendants but still have the mother.
Thanks for the replies
My oldest are only 2-3 years so evidently still very young.
If anyone has a pic of a 10 year plus ric they can post that would great to see
Does anyone with the really old ones think they have done anything special over the years to keep them going for so long?
