How reef-safe are tailspot blennies?

i havent tried to feed him yet. i guess i will try a little mysis today. i hear the tailspots eat hair algae, so could i put a little in the QT and see if he eats it?

I have a trio and the are well behaved. Really cute when all 3 sit together or circle up in the water column.

You've had it three days and haven't fed it yet? I think I'd have stress coloration too.

Although they are herbivores/detrivores, I've found that mine pretty much eats anything. I fed mine mysis and NLS pellets (0.5mm) when he was in QT.

You should offer food to fish the first day you have them. Mysis and pellets are standards and most fish eat them.

i put in some mysis yesterday. there isnt any mysis in the tank now, so i have to assume he ate it.

he is doing better, moving around a bit more. the stripes seem to be fading.

he still hides when he sees me
