How reef safe is a bandit angel?

Im planning to add 1 to my 160 mixed reef. I have sps, lps, and zoas. Ive been reading up and im hoping it wont start nipping on them! Do you guys have any experience with this?

I don't have a bandit, but have seen them in the wild and they are gorgeous. I'm pretty sure they require cooler temps (low 70's) than where most of us keep our reefs at.

Actually the thing is that im getting this bandit from a guy whos had it for more than a year already. Its about 5 inches in size and its just in his fowlr tank and the temp is around 25degC and it eats like a pig so i think my tank which is 24-25 would do well for it as well.

I have kept my Bandits with LPS and softies with no issues. This is my absolute favorite species and one that is so much better looking in person.
IMO 75F is the max that they should be maintained at long term

Michael! I shot you a PM!

Yes i agree, i will be lowering the temp of my reef when i get the bandit thats for sure.

I have kept it with nems polyps and euphyllia with no problem. model citizen and the pearl effect on its scales is just amazing in person.

My pair nipped at my rhizos quite a bit. Enough that I removed the bandits from the tank and have since put them in my other system.

Awesome fish, also probably my favorite angel, very personable and striking in appearence.
