How screwed am I?

So I am almost one month post hospital tank and quarantin after ich. All fish are doing good amazing including a powder blue.

Tonight I was doing routine maintenance and when about my normal routing of scraping the back glass and siphoning into a net to ensure all algae removed.

Any time I use this net I soak it in bleach water for 10 minutes and rinse clean 5 times with ro/DI as I did tonight.

Here is where I am worried.

Two days ago I purchased a new angel fish that went right into QT with in one day it was ill so I transfer to hospital tank for ttm or meds. It was dead this morning. What I didn't realize is that since my wife discovered the death she used my cleaning net to scoop the angle out of the hospital tank and throw in the trash.

So my question is... How screwed am I.

Did you soak the net in bleach before you used it? Did your wife rinse it after she used it and was the net dry when you used it?

She used it. It dried for the day. I soaked it in the bleach then rented then used. All in 24 hour period

if you soaked it in bleach between handling the dead the fish and using it for algae removal, you are likely just fine. not much could survive that, if anything.

what concentration was the bleach solution you used? how long did you soak it for?

^agree plus if it thoroughly dried you should be fine.

It was probably a 10% solution.

my hunch is that you are just fine. unfortunately only time will tell though! fingers crossed for you! give yourself a pat on the back for having the bleach solution procedure as a staple of your tank care!
