How to check firmware version. mp40 wes

Vortech manual says power up the pump, count the green blinks and the blue
and blinks. On the non ES I get 2.2. On the ES I don't any green or blue. Is there a different way to check.

Igadget,

We have not released a firmware update since early 2011. If your pump was manufactured after 2/18/2011, then you will have the most current version 2.2. That said, we will be releasing a firmware update shortly as we get closer to VorTech integration for EcoSmart Live.

The reason I ask is I am getting a WXM . I have 3 MP40 W and one
MP40 WES. I came across several different setup instructions. One says
the WWD's must be updated. Another one says if they don't need it don't
don't do it, they could get bricked. If I checked them right they all have
firmware 2.2. Could be correct, could the Gen 2's have been made in 2011.
Can't find a date on them?

Will this new firmware upgrade you mention be required in order to use the VorTech integration for EcoSmart Live?

Will the ReefLink be able to perform firmware upgrades on the VorTech drivers?

Chances are pretty good that already have the correct FW. When you pair them with the WXM module its going to tell you for sure which ver they are. If its wrong you can just go back a step and update. Check the Neptune site bc this question has been asked and answered there

That is correct you will need the new firmware in order to control your pumps through the ReefLink, and yes the ReefLink will be able to perform the upgrades.

I confirmed all 4 have firmware 2.2. I can connect and control the WES. None of the W's will connect.

2) Assign the pump as a slave to the WXM:

b. Tap the Set button.
i. If the pump was successfully attached to the WXM, the pump LED will flash blue/yellow.
ii. If the pump flashes blue/red, the attachment failed. Retry the procedure starting at step.

When I get to 2 b the lights flash blue/red. Only the first pump shows up in module config.

Thanks Dave

When will the new firmware be released? I have read your post (separate thread) that mentioned ESL integration was to be ready by end of Q1 / March 31.

brianmsu80 Wow Nice job hijacking the other guys thread dude.

Igadget56 You need to be asking these questions on the Neptune forum my friend
I'm out

Alex, I saw your other thread, new firmware coming soon. I was on the phone
with Paul From Neptune and he told me the old MP40 W's I have were to old even though firmware is 2.2

1) Can I some how get the new firmware I need for WXM on these old pumps.

2) How can I tell when they were manufactured. I can only find a serial #.

Thanks Dave.

why can't ecosmart live find my mp40

Only wirelessly enabled EcoSmart and QuietDrive pumps are compatible with EcoSmart Live. That said, you will need a ReefLink in order for your pump to be controlled via ESL. Additionally, all ES pumps will require a firmware update which can be performed by selecting the 'Devices" tab.
