How to control Xenia :(

I have pom pom xenia spreading thru my SPS tank. I did everything to keep this under control but really want it out totaly. Is there anything I can do to stop this from growing or spreading aside from removing the rock and replacing it....

I know some raccoon fish eat it but they would nip the sps too.

Can anyone offer some insight or what they did... I tried heated kalk water and nothing, just shrinks. I cut it down as low as I can but grows back three times fuller......

I would take a razor blade and manually cut it off the rocks you don't want it on. Then, I would kalk paste the foot. I've desolved some roaming xenia this way with success.

I just slice mine off with a razor, and like drummereef stated, either kalk paste it or put coral putty over it. Why not put putty over it, and stick a frag there? Another thing I have noticed is a lot of times, if I just pull slowly and close enough to the base, it will all come up. Hope this helps.
