How to convert

In this hobby we really do not need to convert ppm to mg / l. Technically speaking, however.....

ppm x Density = mg/ l.

So, if we had Calcium really at 400 ppm and the Salinity was 35 ppt / 1.026 Sg @ 25 C, the Density is 1.023. So, 400 x 1.023 = 409 mg / l

For Alk conversations, 1 meq / l = 2.8 dKh = 50 ppm. It is just easier to go here

I know, I'm bummed about missing Sanjays and the roadtrip, but the pond tour calls ... maybe next year! :fish1: :frog:

Yes, I'll be at MACNA
