How to create LED lighting effects....?

I'm looking to add some effects to my LED lights just for fun.:spin2:
I have been searching but have not come up with much.

Something like lightining mode, storm mode, etc...
Im not sure if the leds can pulsate that quickly or not.

I am hoping someone has already done this, and can either copy and paste codes, or at least point me in the right direction.

Right now I have 2 meanwell drivers, 1- blue 1-white with Ramp profiles set to them.


Any advice?

i too am interested in this.....any ideas? i imagine it would be a lot of custom programming in the apex

Have you tried using a pump cycle? I don't have the drivers to test here but trying it is pretty simple to program up and see how they respond. Maybe a pump type with a long normal brightness time followed by a short full bright time would act light lightning. Clouds may be doable using a similar program but with less difference between cloudy brightness and sunny brightness.

Just a thought...

I am actually in the process of hooking up buckpucks to my led strips for accent lighting, and i tried your pump method, it would work with several profiles, would take a while to program, but u can have one profile flash the lights for a second, then wait 30 seconds and flash twice, etc. i'll probably end up doing somethign like this so ill post my programming if i do
