How to cut acrylic?

How do you cut thin acrylic 1/8th inch or less? I tried the scoring method but when I go to snap it, it's never a clean cut or really straight.

I use my table saw or my compound miter saw! Both with a plastic cutting blade.

I use a router. IT gives a perfect edge

Plastic no-melt blades are expensive. Pbrown is right in most cases the router and a pattern cutting bit does a great job. Making templates of what you want to cut from 1/2 inch mdf and then routing around the template cuts very nice panels and parts.

if the plastic cutting blades are expensive, is there a good bit for a dremel?

Did you try clamping it to the table and shearing it off with a peice of 2x4? Also, are you using cell cast acrylic? If its extruded it will have tensions that make score and snap very difficult.
