How to cut eggcrate?

What tool do y'all use to cut eggcrate w/out breaking it all to shreds? It seems too durable to use a utility knife. Maybe something like tin snips?

Side cutters, tin snips, etc work fine. Sometimes if I am in a hurry, just use my fingers to snap it.

I use a pair of utility type sccissors. I just snip one at a time, i still get a couple of braks every now and then.

or the wire wheel attatchment from the dremmel, i know i use the s@#t out of mine best investment i made for this hobby.

you mean the wire wheel attachment that they show using to take rust off of golf club heads? I just got a dremel, and already shattered the two small cutting discs that came with it. (wife called in the middle of something and I dropped the stupid dremel on the floor while fussing w/ the phone, and the other one DISINTEGRATED when i bumped the side of my sump w/ it while the dremel was slowing down after I had turned it off. I'm obviously still learning how to use it. I'd love to hear all the uses for a Dremel. Kinda seems like an expensive toy to me so far.

Just FYI, I'm enclosing the back of my open stand and canopy w/ eggcrate to keep our stupid cats out of the sump/refugium in the stand, and carpet-surfing fish from jumping out the back of my canopy. So i need to cut the sheets of eggcrate to fit those two openings.

i have the cordless one with the speed dial and battery led is awsome. bought the kit with like 220 pieces. all i can say is great to fro fragging and all the diy stuff pluss making mods to the plumbing and what not.

I measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, and cut it with an axe. Sorry, couldn't resist. I do mine with snips and remove the burs with a pair of pliers.
