Hope this isn't violating the rules x-posting my question here, maybe I spend too much time on reddit....
We are getting ready to setup our 65 gallon tank, and it will have a 10 gallon refugium under it. The way this ran in the past, it just had live rock, cheato, and a skimmer in it, well the return pump also. There were no chambers setup in it, it was just one large open space with all of that in it.
I have looked through a lot of different threads on building refugiums, and most people seem to have the drain from the DT and the skimmer in a baffled compartment seperate from the actual refugium portion, and seems the return pump also baffled off. Is the baffling necessary, and/or what function does it actually server?
Thanks in advance.
