what is the best homemade food to sps like acros

does brine shrimp baby enough

is there any special suggetions from professionals??

yup fish poop works wonders. I tried some marine snow and noticed NOTHING different in PE or coral color after a week of extremely heavy feedings, only thing i got out of it was a bunch of stinky skimmate and some hair algae

I feed my sps cyclopeeze, selcon and coral fennze, turn all your pumps and powerheads off then give them direct feed twice a week, don't just dump them in your tank. They do show better color and polyps open up, I only do it when they're still a small frags, I got lazy when they become colonies....

what are you trying to achieve ?

what makes you think your SPS are starving ? and ar not getting enough to eat ?

based on tht, you can choose the correct additive...

SPS corals, eat zooplanktons, and fish poop.

if your coral is doing fine, extra feeding will not improve it more most often ! specially with fuges and ATS, which increase zooplankton in system.

so is your SPS doing good ? or not ?

here is some pictures
i am aslo not sure if it is acro or not as the lfs didnt know any thing about it

I dont pay to much attention to feeding my corals. Every few weeks when I think of it I will feed Liquid Life or Reef Roids. But I primarily just feed the fish and what the corals can eat is what they get.

You seemed even more confuse than me on feeding your SPS. LOL

Most people don't feed their SPS at all. I have seen several very successful reefs in my area and these guys do not feed their SPS.

I have seen some amazing reefs on RC that get fed daily. The guys that feed will generally have means/ways to heavily export nutrient. If you are able to do that and your system can handle it, then yes, feed all you want.

SPS can eat as much or as frequently as you can feed them. However, too much food will kill your water so that's something you would have to experiment with.

Most of them feed liquid coral food. Those are expensive to get unless you make your own.

There are articles on feeding SPS and their eating habit, etc. You can read on that.

My advice is to first master the art of keeping your water in good condition and add a few more easy SPS. Learn as you go! There are many ways to skin a cat... So get one and start skinning LOL
