How to get bright red

I have a red planet frag that was encrusting and had kept it's color in my tank for about a month. I then had a power outage which (I think) caused a cyano bloom and so I added a couple bags of chemipure blue and my red planet has turned pink/purple within 4 days. I'm guessing that it might have been from the chemipure or from the algae + chemipure stripping the nitrates out of the water to undetectable levels.

I'm running 2 radion xr15w pros on my 65.
