How to get calupera to grow?

fish o holic

that doesnt matter. if your skimmer pulls out the dissloved organics that will be the result.

are you getting alot of skimmate?

Peace

After reading the post I havent seen anyone mention salinity....I've been keeping caulerpa for awhile and have noticed that some species seem to do better than others and that salinity may affect growth, you may want to experiment with that if able...

I have my SG set at 1.023. I don't think that's the problem. Maybe my bioload is too low with the efficient Euroreef doing it's thing??? Anyways, I'll get this figured out when the new tank is in place.

las - I get about 1/3 of the skimmer cup each week. So I would say the skimmage is pretty good for feeding only once a day.

I was thinking of having a tank only growing algae for the fun of it, like had anyone done it before? Do i need a skimmer?

Well, these are my plans

Lighting : 150watt MH
Tank Size: 50cmX50cmX50cm

Types of algae:
Caulerpa racemosa
Caulerpa crassifolia
Caulerpa Webbianna
Caulerpa nummularia
Caulerpa serrulata
Ulva australis
Thallassium sp.
Red algae
Chaetomorpha aerea
Bryopsis plumosa
Acetabularia calyculus

Algae is hard to come by in Sydney LFS, so i can grow this stuff and supply it at my LFS.

You think Fish would love eatting this stuff?
