How to get rid of "fog" on tank

I have a used acrylic tank but all the panels are foggy except for the black one. I've heard people say its mineral build up but I've looked carefully at the panels and it seams they're just A TON of tiny scratches. Does anyone recommend or have any ideas how to clear up these tiny scratches? Thanks.

White vinegar if it's simply calcium carbonate (the white stuff that gets on your shower head)...wipe it down with soppy cloth with straight white vinegar, let stand, and rinse. It may improve. Scratches can be buffed, but I've never tried it.

I've tried the vinegar and I think it worked now on to the scratches (I tried the vinegar yesterday)

There are a lot of posts on getting rid of Socrates, you can use Novus 1, 2, 3 if they are not too deep. For the deep ones use very fine grit sandpaper. There are a few places that sell restoration kits for acrylic tanks

A lot of those scratches may not show up with the tank filled with water. But I would sand the tank with 2000-3000 grit sandpaper then buff the tank with some polish.

Thanks I will try. I also may try the novus.

Those are definitely scratches, probably from a magnet cleaner with a dirty pad or something of the like.

Only the largest ones will show when the tank is full. Looks like a job for novus 2.
