How to get rid of Spionid worm

I have a sun coral that is just filled with these worms. I know they are beneficial, but the sheer number surrounding this suncoral is too much for me to bear and they are too close to my zoos which don't like the threads they throw out.
Will an iodine dip work in ridding these guys or what other means can I reduce the population.
