How to I get this nem to detach?

OK, I'm the last stage of moving my 46 to my 72. It's taken a couple of months to slowly move my reef a few rocks at a time but I'm there now. The last things in my 46 were my tail-spot blenny, the rock he lives in & my two ocellaris with their BTA attached to a rock. Well I go to move the last two rocks and the BTA has moved from the rock and has attached to the side of the tank on the glass. I tried to slide a flat piece of plastic under the foot but it was stuck firm so I gave up not wanting to damage it in any way. So how can I get the nem to detach from the glass totally? There's nothing in the tank but the BTA and sand and honsetly it's not looking so good. I need to get this guy into his new home.

u can try and point a power head at him and gently rub the edges of his foot this worked well with my ritteri

Try an ice cub.. Rub it on the foot it should retract

I bought a green bta in the reef shop and it took 90 minuts to detache him from the rock.

Just get the rock out of the water hang it upside down so the anemone touches water "and the rock + foot doenst" and just wait till it drops from the rock.

The OP has mentioned the nem is currently on the glass, not a rock, but you're idea has merit. If there's nothing currently in the tank but sand, water and the nem, you could try lowering the water level until the nem is exposed. This may encourage it to let go.

I had mine split recently and the clone split subsequently as well. The three of them stayed very close together, with one of them a bit more accessible. The second clone's foot is deep in a crevice, so I haven't messed with it. But in anticipation of selling the clone(s) I was able to pry the more accessible one off its perch with continued, gentle prodding of the foot with my finger (rubber glove on hand). It did take a bit of force but I was relatively careful in not damaging the foot and after about 5 minutes, I had it off and was able to place it higher up on another rock. I'll be trying the procedure again in a few days when it's time to get it out of the tank for the sale.

Yeah they did this at the reef shop itself, my tank is so full of rock i couldnt add any more, atleast the reef shop has a coffee and tea corner.

But if its on the glass just get something thats flat ( old credit card thingy)
And try softly to wedge it under the foot.

Thanks for the ideas all. Think I'm gonna try to get an ice pack and hold that to the outside glass where it's attached & try the prodding method. I hope this works. My clowns seem so lost without it.
