how to identify zoo nudi's

I have a few groups of zoos that haven't opened in a few days and now my yellow polyps are closed.I can't seem to find anything on them,any ideas?

Dip some. Chances are if you have them, you'll get some floating

Blow them with a turkey baster and when they close up get a good look between the polyps. You should see them if they're in there.

what do they look like and what do you did them in (iodine bath)?

I would dip them too. Check out the zoanthid forum here, they've got some pretty good pics of zoa eating nudis. They kind of look like berghia actually, with the little feathery things.

Dip them in freshwater and then do a saltwater dip with lugols in it, I usually do about a drop per gallon but I think that's overkill.

Have you seen any sundials in your tank? That could be another culprit...usually nudis eat the polyps, not just cause them to close up.

I am still battling nudis and almost almost to the point of giving up. if anyone has beat them before and would be willing to nurse some zoo's back to health we might eb able to work out a deal. Would be better than letting them die. I thought I had them beat once but they seem to be making a comeback.

I have been doing dips in lugols and freshwater and slatwater and picking the eggs and nudis. Its so frustrating. The mats seem to disappear more than the polyps.

They look a lot like berghia. See my avatar pic. Sometimes they take on the color of the zoas they are eating too. You can also look for the egg strands. The are white spirals.

Do you have any new fish that might be pestering them? I just put some new fish into one of my tanks and the zoa's have been closed pretty much from new fish day 1. I think that I just put some not so reef safe Heni's into the tank...

Nothing added to the tank recently,do I need a magnifying glass to see them?I have looked at them for quite awhile during the day and at night with a bright light and can't find anything.
