i just bought a 65 gallon acrylic tank and i would like to put a overflow box.
if you guys can guide me trough the whole setup it will be great.
any ideas and suggestions will be helpful.

Since it is a new tank, you should drill it. Since it is acyclic, you can drill the bottom or the back and install an overflow. There are many different styles that you can use.

thats what i wanna do actually.i dont want a hang on overflow.where should i drill it?whats better bottom or in the back?

There are pros and cons. Through the bottom, you dont have exposed plumbing on the outside of the tank to see and hear. You need a top to bottom overflow to hide the plumbing which takes up space. Through the back, you have visible plumbing outside the tank, but can use a wide short overflow which works well and takes up less tank space. You also need more space behind the tank.

im really concerned about the noise because my wife said if its gonna be noisy i can take my tank and go sleep in the garage :) so i really want to have a noise free tank if possible
