how to keep clam safe from cleaner shrimp

I am going on vacation tomorrow for a week, how can I keep a clam safe from a cleaner shrimp?

I think my clam has a nick in him and the shrimp of course, wants to clean him...

should I put a strainer or something over him?

I have no QT tank or anything like that, any ideas???

only do this if your sure that something is picking at your clam.cut the top off a clear 2 or 3 liter bottle to make a big dome.unscrew the cap and leave it off.then cut some slats all around the dome part so water can flow thru then place the top over the clam.remove it asap

One of those green plastic strawberry baskets turned upside down would do if the slots were small enough so the shrimp can't get through. You want as much flow as possible.

you can leave it on for a few days. I said clear so as much light as possible can get thru
