I have a green hairy mushroom that is bothering a very nice scolymia (see avatar) and keeping it from fully extending on one side. I can't really move the scoly though.
How can I kill the mushroom? Peroxide in a syringe?

That is easier said than done. The problem is that my tank is 30in deep and my arm is only about 27in long. The bottom few inches of my tank are almost impossible to reach. I'll probably tear the mushroom up. Oh well, I was trying to kill it anyway right?
Get a friend with longer arms to do it for you! Those things are selling for like $50 in the LFS, to just kill it because it's getting too big seems a shame.
If I lived out there I'd come over and get it out for you.. even if I had to rig up some kind of chisel-on-a-stick contraption. Hairy shrooms are too cool looking to just kill them.
