I have a custom coast to coast on my 125 from black acrylic how can i cut it to lower my water level for a tunze wavebox. the tank is up and running with fish and corals.

Are there "teeth" in the overflow box? If yes, you can zip those suckers out quickly with a dremel and it will increase flow into the box. If your plumbing can handle the extra flow that will help. Otherwise, ball valve the plumbing AFTER the pump and dial it back.

this is why I hate non HOb overflows atleast you can move them around to adjust water lol....but that is a good idea!

Sounds like you'll need to lower the water and cut it down; it'll put a lot of cuttings in the tank that may or may float but a media bag or a sock should catch it all in no time. My procedure would be: tape it (makes an easily visible line), scribe it (use a straight edge and a brand new blade in a utility knife, take your time maybe doing it a couple or more times so that it is easy to follow), take your time! and cut, take your time! I prefer a super sharp pull saw for surgery type work to power tools, but you say it's c2c so getting a clean start will be important.

I used a router w a guide and took one inch off, shavings every where but *** is good. Wave box is on running with my return (LITTLE ONE PUMP) and closed loop reeflo dart pump .....man this flow is amazing love the "wave" and randomoness.

Routers make a huge mess, but the end product is usually nice and clean; its a bit hairy recommending to someone to run an electric router in the vertical base position over a tank filled with salt water, I'm glad it worked for you!

Ha yeah my wife and father were looking at me like i was on crack when i said im going to uses a router on my display tank with water in it.
