How to make Tunze's 6101 work without creating sand storms?

I have 2 Tunze 6101's on a controller and can not seem to find a way to have them work at more than 40% without creating a big sandstorm.

I used Aragamax sugar sized sand in a 156g Oceanic Reef Ready tank and I am starting to worry that I bought the wrong sand and should have bought more coarse sand.

How do you guys use your Tunze's 6101 without having sand blown all over the place? It is almost useless to only be able to use them at 40% capacity and my goal was to create a lot of flow with them.

That sand is tough because its so small and light weight. I am running a vortech which is way more powerful than both of the 6101's and at full 3000gph, I only get a small amt of undertow which moves the sand a tiny bit. Maybe you can add a thin layer of a more coarse sand, like the reef grade floor, and it can help keep it down.

Also as the bacteria builds up on the sand, it should stay in place more.
