How to mount temperature probe

How are people mounting their temp probe? It didn't come with a suction cup, so right now it is just hanging in the tank.

Any good ideas?

I use a long piece of styrofoam with 2 holes at the far ends for my 2 probes and then a tiny hole in the center that I feed the temp probe through.

So you put your temp probe in the sump?

I was thinking of putting it in my display tank, because the tank tends to operate warmer and I want to make sure it doesn't get too warm.

I guess if it goes in the sump, I don't have to worry about where it goes or how it looks

I do have it in the sump which in my case is my largest water volume due to it being a stock tank. I also have a little coralife temp on the display and it runs 1 1/2 degrees hotter than the sump does. When the expansion modules come out I'll switch that one out. I hang that probe into the overflow. My thinking on that is that the water coming off the surface (closer to the lighting) is probably the hottest but I may be wrong on that. Close enough though. But maybe you could hang the AC unit's temp probe in there.
