I have an anemone that was given to me, but she's cam stuck to a clam and I can't get the sucker to move... quite contrary it seems extremely content on it's home...

how can I encourage it to find a better spot? the clam sits on it's side and can't get any light thanks to this thing.

Powerhead, ice cube, rubbing. I take my finger and lightly massage the foot near the edge until it starts to lift, then rub from the edge lightly all the way around. The anemone should slowly let go. Just stick a finger under the foot as it lifts so it doesn't try to reattach. Whatever you do don't try to pull it off at any point. Last time I had to get one to detach, it took about 10 minutes for it to fully let go.

I have always used a metal spoon. Apply light pressure at the base of the foot. It takes a couple of minutes but it seems as if it doesn't like the metal and it will freee itself. But don't force it and tear it!!

point a powerhead at it for a day, it will annoy it enough to move. Coincidentally I had to do this to my x-large Condy, he stuck his foot too far back into the rockwork for me to reach, and when I would try to grab him he would just shrink and slime and I ended up stressing him out more than anything else.

I pointed my koralia 3 at him and overnight he moved, the next day he had settled futher out where I could detach him easlier.
