My BTA split and one piece moved and has attached on a rock directly over a small plate coral and is now blocking its light i have tried to gently pry it off of the rock but the bta is locked on any suggestions. (the plate coral cannot be moved)

I've read that if you shoot the power head towards its foot it might release the grip some and maybe even move. Problem is if you let it go again in the tank it might go back to the same spot.

Block the light over the anemonie and it will move. You may also use a blunt oject like your finger to GENTLY push on the foot just above where it has hold of the rock. With patience it will start to irratate the foot and it will let loose .I use the flat handle of a scalple to GENTLY pry the foot away when there is space to put the end between the rock and the foot. You must go very slow or you will tear the foot.

I had to remove the Atlantic I had to return it and it took a hour and a half to get it off the rock. I pointed a power head at it ect but it just wouldnt let go. I had to gently work its foot off the rock be carefull and take your time they are fragile!
