how to plug a bulkhead hole - side of tank?

I have a new(er) acrylic tank that was drilled for a closed loop. I need to seal off one of the holes. Ideally I would love to find a bulkhead like fitting that is not open all the way through. Sort of like if it had a disk in the center. anyone ever seen anything like this?

1 option I have is to use an acrylic disk and some weldon to sort of 'fill in' the hole, then I was thinking I could use some black acrylic and cut a square and glue it over the hole. I could repeat this black square on the other side of the tank so it appeared decorative?

Anyone else have any ideas as to what might be able to be done to seal off this hole? This side of the tank actually sticks out into the living area so I need to try to make it look nice and neat.

put in a bulkhead and glue in or screw in a cap.

thanks - I am going to go look at that now - I guess having a round smooth side of the bulkhead showing is better than screing it up with weldon and possible leaks. At least with a bulkhead, I could always make a repair

thanks for the thought - reef on

You can buy threaded plugs at HD or lowes. If your bulkhead is threaded, I would recommend this route. That way, if you decide to use it down the road, you can do so without having to replace the entire bulkhead.

so the verdict is in, I will use a bulkhead and plug it from inside the tank. This will just leave a clean ring showing on the outside of the tank - I can live with that for what I got the tank for (my new 240!)
