How to qt anthias.

Would you put all 5 anthias in the same 5 gallon bucket for TTM?
No. 5 gallon buckets would be too small. I used 10 gallon tanks to QT my 3 females. There was a male with them, but he was DOA when I opened the bag, sadly.

I'm not doing ttm. I had one die last night, all the others are fine and eating. Lfs is replacing the male, and I added some parashield. I'd rather observe them than stress them out with ttm, plus with work and no rodi I don't have time.

as you wish, it's your setup. i was responding to one of the other posters though.

good luck.

I am looking to add 4 lyretails (blue eyed anthias)

I am thinking 3 females and 1 male, what do you guys think about this in a 20 gallon qt?

that would be more than fine.

i ran mine TTM in 10 gallon tanks (3 females and 1 male) then in to my 20 long grow out system.

not an ideal longer term housing setup, of course, but it is sufficient to get them through QT.

as scuzy stated, keep a close eye on your ammonia, and make sure there are ample places for them to hide. mine seemed particularly fond a 4" PVC T-fitting.

I have mine in a 40b because I need to let my display sit fallow for a while. They're just being housed until then. I love my lfs they're gonna get me a full blown male to replace the one that was starting to change
