Can anyone give me the link to how to raise clown babies. I have finally took out all my fish and just have my mated clowns in there.
Can I leave my clowns in there when the baby hatch? or I have to take the babies or the clown out?
thanks for all the help.

the babies should hatch in a couple more days. So I need answer fast.
thanks,

Your best bet is to pick up Joyce Wilkerson's book on the subject. But, trying to rear the fry in the same tank as the parents isn't going to work. I would suspect that they would eat the fry. Plus, feeding the fry in that tank would be difficult. Need to move them (( either right after hatching -- if you can catch them -- or the eggs on a tile )) over to the rearing tank.

Then you will have to raise rots to feed the fry. Basically nothing can be done b/t now and when this current batch hatches. Or even the next couple to be honest. If you are really interested in trying to raise the fry -- and it takes time and work -- should do it right. The clowns should lay eggs every 2 weeks or so, so you won't have to wait long b/t batches. I have thought about raising my fry (( both my Clarkii pair and pink skunk pair spawn regularly, with the Clarkii pair spawning for the last 7+ years )) but I just don't have the time for it.

they have been spawning for the last year or so. So I have to set up another tank? and how hard to make the food for it? If it is really difficult. then I will just forget about it. Any suggestions?

Yes, you do have to set up another tank --- for rearing the fry.

As for how hard it is to raise/make the food, I really can't speak of that because I have never tried it. But, I can say this, it is was easy I would have tried raising my fry years ago. Right now I have 2 pairs of spawning clowns, if my 3rd pair (( all in different tanks )) starts to spawn I may attempt it, to make all the work worth while.

You don't have to "make" the phyto. You can just buy nanno or rotifer diet from Reeds. (I use rotifer diet) Rotifers are quite easy to culture. Feed them once or twice daily change the water once in a while and they will reproduce like crazy. I highly recommend trying. Its very rewarding.
