How To Raise PH and Keep Level?

So my tank will be in the basement now and the PH is generally lower. I have another thread for the build but its getting long and don't want this question over looked.

I will be getting the Eshopps r-300 monday and it has a filter sock in it. Is there a way to put something in the sock that will help raise and maintain my ph?

I heard of a scrubber but looking for something stupid easy (for a guy like me) to use quick.

Thanks!

I have my tank in the basement and I do not use anything for the pH. I focus on maintaining my alk, calc and mag. Depending on the size tank you may want to look into a dehumidifier. Good luck just my 2 cents.

No.

Ph will be what it wants to be and will find its level and fluctuate around that depending on photosynthesis. Higher during lights on than lights out.

The only way to increase it a bit is to eliminate - reduce - CO2 in the water.

So do you think when my skimmer is back up and running it will lower? Also need another powerhead for water agitation!

I guess I will just wait and see when its 100% and go from there..

Measure the pH of a water sample water in the basement, than take the sample of water outside, wait a couple of hours and then test the pH again. If the pH rises, the CO2 levels inside your house are elevated and running a fresh air line to your skimmer should help raise your pH.
