Hello everyone!
Last weekend I did a tank upgrade and I think I made a huge mistake by using GE Silicone II and only letting it cure for 24 hours. Within a day all the fish but two clowns died. They seem to be doing fine now... but I need to know what to do next.
So, how do I remove this? Besides removing all traces of the old silicone & applying new correct silicone + proper wait time, what else is needed?
100% water change? Frequent partial water changes? Rinse LR in RO/DI water, or in mixed saltwater? LS rinse? Tank cleaning with rubbing alcohol/vinegar? (acrylic tank with acrylic overflow, glass sump with glass baffles). Also, would the silicone finish curing while underwater? How about using carbon and many water changes to help dilute & eventually remove any toxins?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
