How to remove yuma from LR?!?

The title says it all. I have some green yuma I need to remove to make more room for sps (these guys sting!)

Any suggestions, without killing them?

I tried to chip the rock at the base , but they have very broad bases.

Thanks

I would try and chip off the rock too. I hate doing it, because you never know how it'll break. You can always cut it with a dremel, but then the end result makes your remaining rock look un natural.

thanks. These guys really have a broad base of attachment, it's going to be very difficult to say the least.

I was thinking of turn the rock upside-down. Do you think this work?

I've got a friend that places a power head close to the one he wants moved knowing it will make it unhappy and it will release from the rock and to be able to float elsewhere. I have not done it, but he swears by it.

Good luck.

Not sure that will work with these guys are into every crack in the LR. I'll give it a try though...

it does work..i do it often..

Thanks again. I will try; if they do tear, are they toxic if preformed in the tank? Do you remove the rock from the tank? (maybe difficult for me)

I was always afraid of pinching them too hard in order to peel them off.

not sure, i alway remove my out of the tank...have not lost anything yet..the one that i peel i just place in a tub with some rubble and should stick within weeks...

rics are very easy to take off a rock. i have a rock that i frag all the time and they keep growing back. what u can do is either a really sharp razor blade or a surgical scaple. Both work fine as i have done both. super glue them to the place you want then put them in an area of low flow

Cut tons of different types of mushrooms/ smashed them/ killed them and it hass never seen to harm my tank in any way. I just removed a shroom last week(razor method) and things got alittle messy(it was in a crack and a pain to get out) and nothing bad seemed to happen.
