How to restrict a Tunze's flow?

I have a Tunze, I believe it's a 6080, the big non-controllable one. It's too much for my 125, it blows sand off the bottom about 4 feet away, I had to relocate all my leather corals and move some rocks so the tank doesn't look as good, and my fish don't swim in part of my tank! Can I restrict the flow by putting something like filter foam around the intake, without damaging the Tunze?

Yeah yeah, get a controllable one, but I don't have that kind of money. I bought it because I had a 50% off coupon at the LFS and this was the only Tunze they had, so I can't even afford a smaller one.

One option is to trade with a club member who has a lesser-capacity non-controllable Tunze. But I sorta hate to go that route because I plan to upgrade in a couple of years.

Another option is to buy a replacement impeller and trim it down, (as long as it's balanced) so I'll get less flow. Hmmm...

You could just buy a 6060.12A prop and it would be a 6060 that just uses a little more wattage because of the larger coil. That is the best option, the props cost $9.65.
